FOURTH OF JULY<\/strong><\/a><\/p><\/div>\n

\u00a0As a musical video greeting\u00a0card site, FredGrams.com<\/a>\u00a0celebrates every major holiday<\/a> (and virtually every imaginable occasion<\/a>)\u00a0in song. Naturally, this includes that\u00a0most patriotic moment on the American calendar, Independence Day, aka Fourth of July, Fireworks Day, the occasion of America’s Declaration of Independence.\u00a0We have always been a singing people,\u00a0and our favorite patriotic\u00a0songs (all FredGrams<\/a>!)\u00a0provide a running account of\u00a0our history: “Yankee Doodle<\/a>,” “Star Spangled Banner<\/a>,” “America (My Country ‘Tis Of Thee)”, <\/a>“America The Beautiful<\/a>,” George M. Cohan’s “Yankee Doodle Boy\/Grand Old Flag<\/a>” and, Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America.” Alas, the latter,\u00a0unofficially\u00a0our second National Anthem, is not in public domain, so at the moment, it is not\u00a0yet included among the FredGrams song\u00a0treasury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There\u00a0is a multitude of musical ways to wish friends and family a Happy Fourth of July. Our Pledge of Allegiance<\/a>\u00a0provides a common\u00a0expression of loyalty to our American heritage.\u00a0What Fourth of July parade does not include Sousa’s “Stars And Stripes Forever<\/a>?!”\u00a0One’s sense\u00a0of gratitude\u00a0for being American\u00a0is enhanced\u00a0by the\u00a0warm weather\u00a0and all the special\u00a0memories, associations and joys\u00a0of summer: “Take Me Out To\u00a0The Ballgame<\/a>,” “In The Good Old Summertime<\/a>.”\u00a0The beautiful\u00a0Shaker song “Simple Gifts<\/a>”\u00a0is presented as a\u00a0MidSummer meditation, visually brought to life through the idyllic\u00a0summer\u00a0scenes of\u00a0New England artist Winslow Homer.<\/p>\n

There is so much for which to be grateful;\u00a0being free and American rightfully tops any list of\u00a0blessings.\u00a0These American songs\u00a0bring it all\u00a0alive for us, year after year.<\/p>\n

That said (and sung), we wish you a most gratitude-filled, Happy Independence Day!<\/p>\n
